What a portrait session looks like
It starts with a conversation, not the camera. We talk for a few minutes, you get used to the light and to me, and only then do the frames begin. You don’t need to know how to pose: I guide you with small, clear cues until the pose and expression feel like yours.
A natural smile, not a forced one
A good portrait doesn’t come from “smile!” but from a moment when you are genuinely at ease. That is why I keep a calm pace, leave pauses and joke when it fits. The smiles that appear then are the ones that show in the photographs.

For 35 years I have worked with light on film and TV commercial sets. I bring it into portraits: light that shapes the face, keeps detail and shows you naturally.
